Suns Out Agency started as a communications agency. Over time, I saw consistent friction in how agencies worked — too many tools, too much manual work, underutilized potential. That’s why we evolved into an AI enablement consultancy. We bring communication instincts into AI design, helping teams adopt tools and agentic workflows that truly work — not just for today, but for tomorrow.

Leadership

Joe Mirabella has over 20 years of experience in communications and has worked with clients such as Microsoft, Intel, F5, Cornerstone Inc., iRobot, PayScale, Deloitte, Delta Dental, and nire. Beyond his agency experience, Joe drove social media for the Mayor of Seattle and later the Seattle Office of Economic Development. Notably, he led communications for Seattle's redevelopment of KeyArena, now known as Climate Pledge.

As an early AI adopter, Joe developed AI Transformation strategies and training for his previous employer, a global legacy PR agency that worked with the most prominent tech brands. This early expertise led to opportunities to train journalists through a speakership at ColorComm, toolset testing for the agency, developing AI guidelines for communicators and creators, and deploying tactics to improve productivity across teams.

After striking out on his own, he quickly realized there was a hunger across agencies to "adapt or die" to the new AI reality. They experienced similar pain points -- challenges identifying the appropriate solutions, skill gaps in AI Transformation, and difficulty inspiring employees to use AI tools consistently and effectively to improve productivity. Small to medium-sized businesses are particularly vulnerable, so Joe pivoted his fledgling agencies to focus on helping communicators, creators, and small businesses navigate their AI transformation, ensuring that human-centered creativity is empowered to thrive now and into the future.
